3ª sexta-feira do mês chegando e,
como sabemos, tem borogodó! Nessa próxima edição de 16/jul, a
festa LABIRINTO terá como atrações principais as bandas Baile
Convulsão e Fanfarra Paradiso. Os repertórios são
majoritariamente de músicas de autoria própria, marcadas por influências de
Jazz, Funk, Rock setentista, MPB, música de baile, Big Bands, etc. Teremos
ainda discotecagem do nobilíssimo Pajé.

A festa começa
no mesmo horário de sempre: 21h, com entradas a R$ 20. Além
disso, rola uma promoçãozinha básica: os 50 primeiros a chegar antes das 22h
ganham uma caipirinha grátis! U-hú! Ainda não estamos aceitando cartões de
crédito ou débito. Por enquanto, só dinheiro ou cheques.
Pra quem não
lembra o endereço, o The Maze fica na Rua Tavares Bastos, 414, casa 66, no
Catete, bem no meio de uma favelinha 100% pacificada pra lá de acolhedora.

The inn opened in time for the 2005 end-of-year celebrations, starting with four units.
Each unit consists of a bedroom with double bed and a private bathroom.
There is a panoramic upper varanda and small kitchen for guest use.
Breakfast is taken in the lower hall and is included in the daily rate
with regular barbecues and parties according to guest contribution.
Already there are seven bed and breakfast units as well as four
self-service flats (bedroom, bathroom, living room and kitchen). By the
end of 2007 the MAZE plans to offer a further ten bed and breakfast
units. All rooms will have original art works which may be aquired.
There is an art gallery on the street level. A small shop selling
comunity-made souvenirs will open shortly.
At six years old, he tore a picture from a magazine, a little white house fringed with coconut palms and stuck it to his bedhead.
Son of a clergyman and a playwright, Bob studied fine arts in London, was sculptor on Stanley Kubrick's 2001, A Space Odyssey, a war cameraman in the Middle East and a BBC TV correspondent in Brazil. During the making of more than four hundred documentaries, he broke bread with rich and poor, poets and gangsters, cowboys, ministers, thinkers, musicians, generals and mothers of the tortured. He wandered through dazzling palaces and the rubble of destroyed civilisations. Longing to return to painting, he opted to build a studio home in a Rio favela. Underneath he created a community centre with adult literacy schooling and a free pre-natal clinic followed by an art gallery.
